Summer Camp Volunteers

Monday - Thursday

Time: Camp Hours

This program is perfect for teenagers who want to gain experience working with animals and/or children!

Our program is designed to provide knowledge and experience to our volunteers while also allowing them the space to have fun, make friends and spend time in nature!

We are wonderful reference for work, specialty high schools, or colleges.

Basic Roles, Responsibilities & Expectations

  1. Volunteers are asked to come 30 minutes before the beginning of camp and stay 30 minutes after the end to help staff members set up and clean up!

  2. Volunteers perform animal care tasks individually and as a group throughout the camp duration at the request of the staff members! This can include filling up waters, cleaning pens, picking up horse poop, etc.

  3. Volunteers are leaders for our campers - volunteers are expected to show campers what behaviors are appropriate around animals and in general situations as well!

  4. Volunteers will help us with daily and random tasks such as: bringing in the reptiles on reptile day, help students feed treats to the animals, watching the bounce house station, helping younger students spell when they are crafting/filling out worksheets, etc.

  5. Volunteers recieve animal breaks during the day where they are allowed to alone or in a group of volunteers - spend one on one time with their favorite animals!
